Hondenoppas Agnese uit Groningen

My name is Agnese, 29 years old from Italy and working as manager in the cultural world of Groningen, producing performances and working with emerging artists from the city.

My job as self employed allows for a lot of flexibility in my daily schedule, as well as for a lot of time where I can just work from home.

I am the proud mother of Milan, a little rescue from Spain whom I adopted about 6 years ago. It is very hard to describe in words the love I have for dogs and what dogs give to me (joy, happiness, satisfaction, purpose, love, peace, you name it); originally, for example, I was supposed to keep Milan only for a couple of weeks, while looking for his forever home, but after 48h I knew I was not going to be able to live without him and decided that I was going to be his forever home. Another example: my day starts with a cup of coffee and with watching on Instagram the stories of a lovely man who moved to Indonesia to help rescue, feed and take care of 100+ dogs a day; watching him do that kind of work and seeing all the happy dogs faces truly make my day a better day. My wildest dream is to move there too and one day be able to help as many dogs as he does.
I have always lived with dogs, since I was 0 years old and I just can't imagine a life without them.
My little baby Milan is a sweet castrated boy, who's been through a lot (which makes me love him even more) and since now, all the experiences we had with other dogs have been really positive.
Secretly, I dream of adopting a second dog and I think dog sitting other dogs will help Milan get used to the idea of having a 4 paws companion and to see all the benefits of having dog friends around ;)
I have a car and have the possibility to dog-sit both in Groningen, near the Noorderplantsoen, as well as in Haren, near the beautiful Scharlakenbos.
